Photo Session for Young Marcelo

About a year ago, around this same time, I had the pleasure of photographing Julieta for her First Communion. Her little brother Marcelo came along to the session, and naturally, I took a few portraits of him as well—after all, he was too adorable to resist.
This year, it was Marcelo’s turn. He just celebrated his own First Communion, and his mom asked me to capture some portraits of him, just like we did for Julieta.
The full session took place in my studio, and I used the Hasselblad X2D 100C paired with the XCD 75P lens. Most of the shots were taken at 1/320 s, f/3.4, ISO 64—a setup that continues to impress me in controlled studio environments.
As with previous sessions, the X2D performed beautifully. Autofocus was quick and reliable, and the color rendering was spot on—natural, rich, and requiring minimal post-processing. The leaf shutter freed me from the usual 1/125 s sync speed limitation, making it much easier to get sharp, well-lit images.
So here we are—meet the dashing young Marcelo along with his sissy, all dressed up and glowing with that quiet pride that comes with such a big day.
